Children

IT'S MY FIRST TIME HERE!

If it is your first time attending Family Baptist, welcome! We are looking forward to meeting you and your children! Below you will find a description about what Sunday school looks like based on your child's age. Feel free to come a little early to check out our children's ministry building, then head over to the main building where we will all worship together as a church family. Your children will be released for children's church during service after the announcements are made.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

It's amazing to see that when asked what is the greatest commandment, Jesus quoted from Deut. 6: 4-9, which Moses directed primarily to the parents of Israel.

At Family Baptist Church we believe that our primary function is to train, involve, and equip parents to be the primary faith trainers of their children. Our children's church comes alongside parents to share the responsibility that God has given to the family to raise their children to know, love, and entrust themselves to Jesus Christ.

Nursery

In the nursery, which is attached to the sanctuary, caregivers lead the children ages 6 months – 3 years in age-appropriate activities.

This room is also available for nursing mothers and is equipped with audio so that mom's can still enjoy the service from this room!

3 - Kindergarten

In the 3-Kinder classroom, a teacher and an assistant are leading our children through a 3 year curriculum where we show how the whole Bible points to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this through Bible stories, song, and crafts.
